Hedgehog Fork Painting

Such a fun activity that we included for our 2-5 year olds in their ‘Forest Friends’ box – help them to create their own Forest Friend – the hedgehog.

What you need:

Hedgehog template

Fork

Paint

Pom pom nose

Googly Eye

What to do:

  1. Draw a line to seperate the hedgehogs neck from his body
  2. Dip the fork into the paint and press down onto the hedgehog to make the quills. As you do this explain that hedgehogs don’t have quills on their face
  3. Help them stick on the nose and eye and draw a smile

What’s his name?

Benefits:

Good activity for fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination. Can also be used for story telling and imaginative play.

When you subscribe to Poppet Post, you receive the activity packs all prepared for you. A wonderful example of progress through play and lovely for you or the nanny to do with your child.
